The Serbian Geological Society (Srpsko geološko društvo – SGD) is a voluntary scientific organisation of Serbian geologists. Established on February 10, 1891, it stands as one of the earliest geological societies in Southeastern Europe and among the first scientific societies in Serbia. The Society's primary objective is to conduct geological investigations of Serbia and other regions of the Balkan Peninsula, and to disseminate information about advancements in geology and related sciences to its members and interested parties.
