The study has aimed to evaluate the recent studies regarding the geological and gemorphological mapping of the area of Lower Kolubara and Kolubarska Posavina. The results of field studies suggest that the left bank of Kolubara valley from the confluence of Tamnava river is mainly composed of alluvial fans from the tributaries of the Kolubara river. Previous studies this fans identified as the terraces of Kolubara. The sedimentary provenance of the Kolubarska Posavina can be separted on two main segments. The west segment of Kolubarska Posavina mainly composed of former meanders and alluvial plain ending eastwards with the older - Zvečka (paleo)meander of Sava River belongs to the Sava River sedimentary system. The eastern segment which has been created from the former remnants of the (macro) alluvial fan of the Kolubara floodplain sediments of the Kolubara encompass the area eastwards from the older – Zvečka (paleo)meander of Sava River which considered as the sedimentary area of the Kolubara river.
